WARRANTY

Product RMA Management Proposed:

The RMA policy of PLDM TECHNOLOGY defines which products are eligible for return or exchange. It typically covers EPOS terminals and their accessories including modules without housings, that are still within the 3 years of warranty period or meet specific conditions such as product recall.

 

Warranty Period:

Since the duration of the warranty period is 3 years, during which customers can request repairs, replacements, or refunds for eligible products, depending on the nature of the defected. However, before sending back for repair or for failure analysis, to apply RMA number from PLDM web-based ERMA system needs to be done first. A standard MRA procedure will then be initiated accordingly.

 

Defective and Non-Defective Products:

PLDM will need to clarify the differentiation between defective (faulty or damaged) products and non-defective (functioning but unwanted) products. Separate procedures are provided for each category.

 

RMA Request Process:

Customers is responsible for providing details about the issue symptoms, purchase information, product serial numbers, and any required documentation to effectively describe the symptoms until it’s clearly addressed and confirmed by both parties.

 

RMA Authorization:

Customers need to receive an RMA authorization before returning the product. This authorization helps ensure proper tracking and handling of returned items and can be done through PLDM TECHNOLOGY ERMA system.

 

Return Shipping:

The responsibility to cover the shipping costs for returning the product, depending on whether the product is in warranty or not, and whether if it’s defective or non-defective. Instructions from PLDM TECHNOLOGY for the RMA authorized product packaging and shipping the product safely is necessary.

 

Inspection and Evaluation:

PLDM TECHNOLOGY CS department will inspect and evaluate the returned product to verify its condition and eligibility for repair, replacement, or refund.
Repair, Replacement, or Refund:
An available resolution based on the evaluation of the returned product will be provided. This may include repair, replacement with a new or refurbished unit, or a refund.

 

Refund Process and Fees:

There will be restocking fees or charges that may be deducted from the refund amount.

 

Exceptions and Limitations:

Specific situations or conditions that are exempt from the standard return process, such as products damaged due to misuse or unauthorized modifications will be on the liability off customers.

 

Customer Responsibilities:

Customer's is responsible to provide accurate information, proper packaging, and adhering to the specified return procedures.

 

Timeline:

RMA process will be completed within 30 days after the returned product is received by PLDM, excluding the time of transportation.

 

Customer Support:

Contact information and customer support details will be provided by the account manager or the CS (Customer Service) engineers of PLDM TECHNOLOGY to assist customers in the RMA process.
